Masculine meets Feminine

Masculine meets Feminine

I always say that I like contrast.  I like contrasting shapes, I like contrasting fabrics  and textures. Its great to mix up trends to create your own look. What I have found myself doing lately is wearing really masculine pieces like a baggy boyfriend shirt and then adding something really feminine like this short sequin mini skirt.

Masculine and Feminine outfit

Hat – Brighton street stall  |  Cocoon Coat – Wallis (sold out)  |  Boyfriend Shirt – Republic (old)  |  Tote BagZalando*  |  BootsNext *  | Sequin SkirtBoohoo.com*

I wore this outfit on the Saturday of LFW.  I tried the whole coat as a cape look for a little while, but after the millionth time of it falling off I decided to wear it like a normal person.  It doesn’t quite have the same effect though.

The bag is from a £50 Zalando voucher I hadn’t used.  I am not really a bag person and have a minuscule amount compared to the hoard of shoes I own.  I get really irritated when I need a black bag, so finally got round to getting this massive tote one I stumbled across on the Zalando site. It had a hard bottom and not sure what you call them, the metal stud things that keep it from falling down. So was perfect to hold my beloved camera and lenses. As well as all my other LFW essentials.

boo hoo #globalstyler

How pretty is this skirt from Boohoo? I just love the aztec print. Boohoo sent me and other bloggers across the globe a piece from their new collection to help them promote their new competition.

A lucky Boohoo fan will win an amazing holiday. Like I have done above, just take a photo of yourself wearing your favourite Boohoo piece with your location speech bubble. Then you need tweet or Instagram the photo using the #globalstyler hashtag more info about the global style competition
