Loosing my head with a new fedora hat on it

Loosing my head with a new fedora hat on it

So yesterday I got ready, waited for my mother to arrive to pick up Eva, went to the station, got on the train and realised I was on my way to a place I was meant to be the next day.

Eva is going through a very naughty stage at the moment.  She wont sleep properly and keeps waking up in the middle of the night and not going back to sleep (hence my absent mindedness). She is being difficult with her eating, unless it is biscuits or chocolate of course.  And I just caught her pouring her juice all over the TV stand.   If I warn her with the naughty corner, she goes and sits there herself, terrible 2s alright.  She is still my little princess though (I am too soft).

Not sure what look I am going for here, I have kind of a 70s/80s/rock/smart outfit.  I am not really a printed tee wearing gal, but I really like wearing them with blazers at the moment.  I like the contrast of casual and smart.

Also The hat is new, I saw it in River Island on sale for £10.

Transitional Dressing For Spring

Transitional Dressing For Spring

Transitional Dressing really is a laborious task. You know that summer dress really isn’t going to cut it when that lingering winter breeze catches you by surprise. We Brits, get very excited by the sun, we whip out our summer attire. Then regret it when we are freezing our butts off for the rest of the day. Then again that woolly jumper we thought would be a good idea, becomes an annoying thing to carry around.

I was going to a casting in West London yesterday and I just stood at my wardrobe for about 15 minutes deciding how to dress for the day.  I finally decided on this pretty stripy summer dress from Jarlo (they have a yellow and pink  version that reminds me of a couple of the Mulberry SS12 dresses). Also my new chambray shirt from Mango as a light cover-up.  I knew I was only going out for the afternoon, but if I was going to be out any later, I would have taken a pair of tights in my bag. I have just bought some pretty pastel blue ones that would have gone nicely with this outfit.

Talking about my legs, I have no idea why they look so white in my photo’s.  I literally slapped the fake bake on for the last few days and people have commented about my tanned legs, very strange.  Maybe it is true that the camera doesn’t lie and it is exposing the real truth of my pale legs.

Do you have any tips for transitional dressing?
